Which supermarkets and stores will open on May 1 in the Region of Murcia?

With Easter and the Spring Festival still fresh in mind, a new holiday is just around the corner, offering many people a chance to take a long weekend break. This Thursday May 1 marks Labour Day, a celebration of the social advances achieved by workers since the late 19th century.
As a non-working day throughout Spain, some shops and supermarkets in the Region of Murcia may close to enjoy the break, while others will adjust their opening hours.
Below are the May 1 opening hours of the shopping centres, stores, supermarkets and large retail outlets in the Region of Murcia.

Shopping Centres
- Nueva Condomina: Shops will be closed, but leisure and dining establishments will remain open.
- Thader: Closed for shopping, but restaurants and the leisure area will be open.
- Dos Mares: Open all year round, except for December 25, January 1 and January 6.
- Espacio Mediterráneo: Open.
- La Noria Outlet: Closed.
- Parque Almenara: Shops will be closed, but leisure and dining establishments will be open.
- Atalayas: Shops will be closed.
Supermarkets
- Carrefour: Most stores will be closed, but some may open, including those in Espacio Mediterráneo and Express stores. Check individual store hours on the Carrefour website.
- Alcampo: Closed.
- Mercadona: Closed.
- DIA: All establishments will be closed.
- Lidl: Most stores will be closed, but some may open in certain municipalities. Check individual store hours on the Lidl website.
Other stores
- El Corte Inglés: Stores in Murcia and Cartagena will be closed.
- Ikea: Closed.
- MediaMarkt: Stores in Nueva Condomina and Ronda Sur will be closed, but the Cartagena store will be open (check hours).
- Leroy Merlin: Stores in Murcia, Murcia Sur, San Pedro del Pinatar and Cartagena will be closed, but the Lorca store will be open (check hours).
Remember to check individual store hours before heading out, as some may have special hours or unexpected closures on May 1.
