San Pedro del Pinatar Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Pedro del Pinatar Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Until January 5 Christmas, New Year and Three Kings in Murcia 2025-26
The range of festive entertainment includes family musicals at the major theatres as well as Christmas markets and events around the monumental tree
So great is the range of events and activities taking place in and around the city of Murcia over the 2025-26 festive season that no attempt has been made here to provide a complete version: for those who are interested, the full schedule can be found in Spanish here!
However, before tackling some of the day-by-day highlights, it is worth noting some of the main venues where the Christmas spirit will be overflowing over the next couple of weeks:
The Christmas tree in the Plaza Redonda
Light and sound show every day until 6th January at 20.00 and 21.15 (except 24th and 31st December, 20.00 only). Concerts and children’s entertainment every day.
The Christmas market in the Plaza Circular
Open until 19th December: 17.00 to 22.00
20th to 23rd December: 11.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 22.00
24th December: 11.00 to 16.00
25th December: 17.00 to 22.00
26th to 30th December: 11.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 22.00

Navilandia at the La Fica fairground
The Christmas fairground is open every day until 6th January.
The municipal nativity scene at the Palacio Episcopal in Plaza Belluga
Open every day 9.00 to 13.30 and 17.00 to 22.00.

18.00: The DIscantus choir perform “Músicas con Ángel” at the Christmas tree in Plaza Circular.
20.30: Concert by the Rondalla del Centro Social de Mayores de Puente Tocinos at the municipal nativity scene in the Palacio Episcopal.
Friday December 19
18.00 and 21.00: The Ballet de Barcelona perform The Nutcracker at the Teatro Circo. Tickets online here from 15 euros.
20.15: The San Buenaventura choir perform “Voces blancas” at the Christmas tree in Plaza Circular.
Saturday December 20

19.00: Presentation of the nativity scene of Las Agustinas, a work created by Nicolás and Francisco Salzillo, with music from Coral Discantus. Open until 5th January 10.00 to 13.00 and 17.00 to 21.00 (Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve mornings only, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day afternoons only). 18.00: The Royal Emissary sent by the Three Kings parades through the city. Route: Molinos del Río, Hernández del Águila, Pasarela Miguel Caballero, Martínez Tornel, Tomás Maestre, Glorieta de España (where he receives the keys of the city from the Mayor), Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, Salzillo, Trapería, Santo Domingo, Basabé, Glorieta de España.
Monday January 5
11.00: Roscón de Reyes cake for all in Plaza del Cardenal Belluga.
12.00: The Three Kings are given an official reception by the Mayor of Murcia before greeting thousands of children in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga.
18: The Grand Three Kings parade. Route: Avda. San Juan de la Cruz, (starting at c/ Vicente Aleixandre), c/ Mozart, Torre de Romo, Hermanos Cerón, Alameda de Colón, Pza. Camachos, Pza. Martínez Tornel, Gran Vía Salzillo, Avda. de la Constitución, Plaza Circular.
At the end of the way they visit the municipal nativity scene, accompanied by the Discantus choir. Seat reservations for the parade can be made online at cabalgatadereyes.compralaentrada.com.
