April 24 Screening of Children of Men in original version at the Town Hall of Los Alcázares
The Alfonso Cuarón classic in a new season of Cineforum screenings in Los Alcázares
The Asociación Eco Cultural de Los Alcázares and the Culture department of the Town Hall have launched another “Cinefórum” season of classic cinema screenings consisting of a selection of 5 great movies during the first 5 months of 2026.
The season continues at 18.30 on Friday 24th April with “Children of Men”, directed by Alfonso Cuarón in 2006, based on the dystopian science fiction novel by PD James and starring Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Charlie Hunnam.
The action is set in 2027 after two decades of infertility have led human civilisation to the brink of disaster and asylum seekers seek protection in the United Kingdom. The film received critical acclaim and was nominated for three Academy Awards and three BAFTAs.
Entry to the Salón de Plenos of the Town Hall for this screening, as well as a short explanatory chat which will be given in Spanish, is free of charge, making this a great way to spend your Friday evening!
