Alicante weather September 28-October 1: Warm days with showers on the way

Temperatures will stay around 30°C in much of Alicante Province this week, although cloudy skies and a few showers will bring a change in the weather, particularly in the north

Autumn may have arrived, but Alicante is still holding on to summer temperatures. Much of the Province will see highs around 30°C or above this week, although there will be more cloud around and some rain is possible. Let's have a look at the daily breakdown.

Monday September 28

Monday will be cloudy across Alicante Province, with a chance of light rain along the northern coast. Temperatures will change only slightly, with Elche and Orihuela both reaching 31°C. Alicante city will reach 29°C, while Dénia will reach 28°C and Alcoy 27°C. Minimum temperatures will range from 15°C in Alcoy to 20°C in Alicante city. Dénia will have a low of 19°C, while Elche will drop to 19°C and Orihuela to 18°C.

Winds will be light and variable, mainly from the northwest before turning southeasterly around midday.

Tuesday September 29

Tuesday will start cloudy before becoming mostly clear later in the day. Temperatures will be similar to Monday, although minimum temperatures will rise slightly. Orihuela will reach 32°C, while Elche will reach 31°C and Alicante city 30°C. Alcoy will reach 28°C and Dénia 29°C.

Minimum temperatures will range from 16°C in Alcoy to 21°C in Alicante city. Dénia and Elche will both have lows of 19°C, while Orihuela will drop to 20°C.

Winds will be light and variable, changing first to southerly and then southeasterly around midday. They could occasionally become moderate along the coast.

Wednesday September 30

Wednesday will bring more cloud, with the possibility of scattered light showers across the Province. Temperatures will remain fairly similar, with Elche and Orihuela both reaching 32°C. Alcoy and Alicante city will reach 30°C, while Dénia will be slightly cooler at 28°C.

Minimum temperatures will range from 17°C in Alcoy to 22°C in Alicante city. Dénia will have a low of 20°C, while Elche will drop to 19°C and Orihuela to 20°C.

Winds will be light and variable, becoming southeasterly and easterly around midday.

Thursday October 1

Thursday will be the most unsettled day of the period, particularly in the north of Alicante Province. Cloudy skies will bring showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will still be pretty high, with Elche and Orihuela both reaching 32°C. Alicante city and Alcoy will reach 30°C, while Dénia will reach 29°C.
Minimum temperatures will range from 17°C in Alcoy to 22°C in Alicante city. Dénia, Elche and Orihuela will all have lows of 21°C.

Winds will be light and variable, becoming easterly around midday.

So, there will be more cloud and a few showers as October begins, but temperatures will still reach 32°C in the south of the Province.
