Rain and cooler weather on the way again: Alicante weather forecast January 15-18
It's a clear change from recent days, with thicker cloud, cooler air and rain back on the forecast

The unsettled weather is back, and after a run of bright January days, Alicante is in for a bit of a change. Sunshine will give way to thicker cloud, cooler temperatures and a growing chance of rain as we head into the weekend. Inland areas will feel the cold more, especially early in the morning, and higher ground could even see some snow.
Thursday January 15

Thursday will be one of the better days with some decent weather and mostly clear skies for much of the day. Cloud will gradually build in the north later on. There’s a small chance of mist or fog in inland valleys early in the morning, along with the risk of light frost away from the coast. Temperatures won’t change much overall. Winds will stay light, shifting from west to south around midday.
Friday January 16

Friday sees cloud covering much of the province, although the south should still see a few brighter spells. There’s a chance of light rain, mainly away from the coast. Night-time temperatures rise slightly, but daytime temperatures drop, making it feel cooler than recent days. Winds remain light, changing direction through the day.
Saturday January 17

Saturday looks like it will be the most unsettled day. Skies turn overcast and rain becomes more widespread. In the mountains, snow is possible above around 1,200 to 1,400 metres. Temperatures fall further, especially during the day, giving things a much more wintry feel. Winds stay light and variable.
Sunday January 18

Cloudy skies and some showers are expected on Sunday, although rain is less likely inland in the southern half of the province. Minimum temperatures rise in the north but dip slightly in the south, while daytime temperatures change very little. Winds remain light, turning northerly later in the afternoon. There is a chance of snow above around 1,200 to 1,400 metres.
All in all, this kind of weather can make January feel like it’s dragging on a bit. Cooler days, grey skies and rain don’t exactly help the post-Christmas mood. So, keep an eye on the weather forecast when making plans this weekend and make sure to get out during the bright spells.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante:
- Thursday January 15: Min 6 °C, Max 15 °C
- Friday January 16: Min 7 °C, Max 14 °C
- Saturday January 17: Min 5 °C, Max 13 °C
- Sunday January 18: Min 4°C, Max 14 °C
