New restaurant-bar, padel and wellness centre to open in Puerto de Mazarrón
The new centre is being built on the site of a former nightclub that has been empty for years

A new padel and wellness centre with a gym and a swimming pool is being built at the entrance to Puerto de Mazarrón, on a site that has been sitting empty for years.
The new space, called Blu Beach Club, is turning a long-neglected site into a place where neighbours can meet, play padel or just relax and cool off in the pool. The first phase will include padel courts, a gym-style fitness area, a swimming pool, a bar and restaurant, along with seating areas. Blu Beach Club will stay open throughout the year, which is great news for residents.
Padel is growing fast worldwide, including in Murcia of course, yet Mazarrón still has only a handful of padel clubs. This new centre will help meet the demand in the area as well as provide a social and wellness space too.

The site itself has been empty for many years. More than 30 years ago, it was a well-known nightclub before falling into disuse. Its location, close to supermarkets and sports retailers, means it already sits in a busy part of the port area.
If the first phase goes well, there are plans to develop it further. This would include two additional covered padel courts and space for other fitness or wellness businesses, although nothing has been confirmed so far.
For more information or updates on the project at Calle Gavilán nº1, Puerto de Mazarrón, check out the progress and latest updates on their Facebook page.
