Municipal gardening contractor back to work on Camposol
Gardening team returns for part of annual work schedule
The contract for the cleaning and maintenance of public parks and gardens throughout the municipality of Mazarrón was awarded to the company STV Gestion in April 2023 and is valued, including tax, at nearly 6 million euros, which includes many of the public cultivated areas on the Camposol urbanisation.
The contracted schedule initially started on Camposol in early May 2023 and will work on municipal council owned green areas as listed in the contract which includes the parks, roundabouts and other green areas on Sector A as well as roundabouts and central reservations on Sectors B, C and D. The work will consist mainly of lopping fir trees and pruning palm trees, cutting back other plants and clearing weeds and other unwanted vegetation as well as tidying litter in these areas.
STV Gestion SL are a large regional company, having contracts with the regional governments of Murcia and Alicante and local councils including Torre Pacheco, Águilas and Fuente Alamo, they also have contracts with individual urbanisations including Mar Menor Golf Resort, La Torre, El Valle and Condado de Alhama where they have recently taken over management of the Alhama Signature Golf Course.
