Mazarrón Country Club Residents Social Club
The MCC Social Club organizes events, trips and excursions
Mazarrón Country Club is a private residential area of approximately 800 houses, situated in the hills just north of the town of Mazarrón, and the Residents’ Social Club has been in existence since 2005, providing a hub for social activities on the development and organizing trips to other parts of the Region of Murcia and the rest of Spain.
During 2014 the MCC Social Club – don’t be fooled by the name, it has nothing to do with cricket! – held three dinner-dances and an Easter Monday fair, and organized two day trips as well as three-night mini-breaks in Madrid and Valencia, where residents of the MCC attended the world-famous Fallas festival. In 2015 the plans include a 3-day trip to Córdoba, a day trip to La Unión and a Masked Ball at the end of May, and other events will fill out the social calendar over the summer.
Any surplus funds raised from ticket sales are re-invested in the next project, as the MCC is a non-profit-making organization.
The MCC Social Club’s constitution document only allows those who live at the Country Club to become members (paying an annual subscription fee of just 5€), but everyone is welcome to attend the events organized or join the trips. The only condition is that priority is given to members.
