May 29 Screening of Miller’s Crossing in original version at the Town Hall of Los Alcázares
The Coen Brothers classic in a new season of Cineforum screenings in Los Alcázares
The Asociación Eco Cultural de Los Alcázares and the Culture department of the Town Hall have launched another “Cinefórum” season of classic cinema screenings consisting of a selection of 5 great movies during the first 5 months of 2026.
The season ends at 18.30 on Friday 29th May with “Miller’s Crossing”, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen in 1990 and starring Gabriel Byrne, Marcia Gay Harden, John Turturro, Jon Polito, J. E. Freeman and Albert Finney.
This is a neo-noir gangster film which was not a box office success at the time of its release, although it has since been raved about by critics. The storyline is about a power struggle between two rival gangs and how the main character plays both sides against each other.
Entry to the Salón de Plenos of the Town Hall for this screening, as well as a short explanatory chat which will be given in Spanish, is free of charge, making this a great way to spend your Friday evening!
