San Pedro del Pinatar Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Pedro del Pinatar Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
Camposol helps victims of Valencia flood appeal
Residents of Camposol, Condado and the Mazarrón Country Club donate urgently needed items as the crisis continues
Urgently needed supplies have been donated by residents of Camposol, Condado de Alhama and Mazarrón Country Club as the crisis in Valencia and other areas affected by the devastating DANA floods continues.
Initial appeals for clothing and bedding have been responded to overwhelmingly and the organisers are asking that no more bedding and clothes are donated. Instead other urgently required supplies are being requested:
- Bottles of water
- Unexpired medicines (adult and childrens)
- Baby food and formula URGENT
- Nappies (adult and childrens)
- Personal hygiene products
- Mobile phone chargers
- Rakes
- Electicity generators
- Non-perishable food supplies (human and pet)
The Collection points are:
- The Compusurf Office, Camposol Sector B Commercial Centre
- Noahs Arc Charity shop, Camposol Sector B Commercial Centre (Lower level)
- Age Concern Social Centre, Avenida de los Covachos, Camposol C Sector
- Alen's Supermarket, Camposol A Sector Commercial Centre
Cash donations can also be made with a recent donation received from the Greenfinger gardening group of 200 euros donated to Noahs Arc who in turn bought 2 trolley fulls of personal hygiene products and pet food.
With the death toll expected to rise still further and essential products remaining in short supply, the organisers are urgently appealing for the donation of the supplies listed above.
Mazarrón Council have also set up collection points at:
Cresta del Gallo, Mazarrón and Plaza de Abastos, Puerto de Mazarrón which will be open
Monday, November 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Tuesday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
