International youth teams from England, Italy, Belgium and Nigeria will be playing in the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament at Pinatar Arena this April
Between Friday April 12 and 17, the FA will be holding an under-16s international football tournament in
San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, featuring teams from England and around the world.
The English Football Association has chosen Pinatar Arena, a sports complex located in San Pedro, to host the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament, with England, Italy, Belgium and Nigeria set to take part.
Good relations between Pinatar Arena and the FA led to the event, which is supervised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and which was to be played in England, being moved to this town on the Mar Menor.
The teams will arrive in San Pedro on Wednesday 10 and two days later, on Friday 12, the first matches will take place.
The six matches of the championship will be played on the main field of Pinatar Arena, and it’s absolutely free for spectators to go along and watch to support their team, which include some of the most promising young players on the international scene.
UEFA U-16 Development Tournament match schedule
The tournament kicks off on Friday April 12 with England vs Italy at 5pm and then Belgium vs Nigeria at 8pm.
On Sunday April 14, England vs Belgium is at 5pm and Nigeria vs Italy is at 8pm.
On Wednesday April 17, Italy vs Belgium is at 11am and England vs Nigeria is at 1pm.
