Supporting Asociacion Unicos and Galgos del Sol
Animal welfare is always a hot topic in the Murcia Region, indeed throughout Spain, and although the attitude towards animals has made notable progress in the last few years there is still a real need for support, particularly in agricultural areas such as Murcia.
An animal welfare charity shop in the Los Narejos area of the Los Alcázares municipality supports two charities which focus on rescuing, rehoming, training, neutering and educating within the Spanish community, where the biggest problems exist, Galgos del Sol, which cares for greyhounds and hunting dogs and Asociacion Unicos in San Javier which focuses on neutering and rehoming.
The shop is staffed entirely by volunteers and is always seeking good quality items and furniture.
The shop is open from Monday to Saturday 10.00am - 2pm.
Directions:Located in Los Narejos, in front of the Oasis Commercial Centre. Leave AP7 at junction 786 towards the Arches and the Oasis centre, turn left just before going through the Arches, and you’ll find the shop in the slip road.
Contact the shop if you have any items of furniture for donation or would like to offer your services as a volunteer.
