Alicante weather forecast May 12-15: Clouds, rain and thunder
Alicante province can expect a bit of everything weather-wise this coming week
Weather outlook on Wednesday May 14
While much of Spain is preparing for stormy skies and scattered showers this week, Alicante’s weather will follow a similar, though slightly milder, pattern. Expect a bit of everything—some sun, some clouds and the occasional rumble of thunder—especially as we move into the afternoons.
Monday May 12
Alicante province will start the week with a pleasant, mostly clear morning. As the day goes on, clouds will roll in and there’s a chance of some spotty showers along the northern coast later in the day.
It will feel just a touch cooler in the early hours, but daytime highs should hover between 22ºC and 26ºC. Winds will be light and variable at first, shifting to a gentle breeze from the east by the afternoon.
Tuesday May 13
Tuesday morning will bring some low clouds along the coast and a bit of sun peeking through elsewhere. By the afternoon, expect more cloud cover and the possibility of heavy showers inland, possibly with thunder and small hail.
Temperatures won’t change much overnight, but it’ll feel cooler during the day in the south. Winds should stay light, turning easterly as the day progresses.
AEMET has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms in inland Alicante starting at 2pm.
Wednesday May 14
A cloudier day overall, with showers likely in the afternoon—again, they may come with thunder and some small hail. Overnight temperatures will be a bit warmer, but highs may dip slightly in parts of northern Alicante and southern Valencia.
Along the coast, we’ll feel a light to moderate breeze from the northeast, while inland winds will be more variable, picking up from the east around midday.
Thursday May 15
The clouds will stick around throughout Thursday and there’s still a chance of afternoon showers inland, possibly spreading toward the coast as well. These may once again bring some thunder and small hail.
Early morning temperatures will drop slightly, but the day should warm up more than earlier in the week. Winds remain light and changeable.

- Wednesday May 14: Min 11ºC; Max 25ºC
